Want to know how to run servo winch with a wireless key fob remote

Like title says I have been searching and haven't found a clear enough answer yet I am going to run a servo winch and I have a old 3 racing winch controller (not wireless) and I can solder the wires from that to the servo motor (can do that on my own) I just am wondering if I have things right so far and after that I should just b able to buy one of the wireless key fob remote setups and plug it in with a power source (my rx) and the winch will work from the key fob any help would b appreciated and diagrams help too (I'm new to winches)
