receiver leads/plugs

First off, I am a newbie. My axial trail honcho is my first 'real' rc. one quick question, I am getting ready to waterproof/resist my axial receiver.

I would like to add some extra leads/plugs/pigtails to it before I waterproof it so I don't have to ruin the waterproofing if I want to add extra items like lights, etc. what would be some good leads to add? deans, Tamiya, etc?

(I got the idea from rcsparks/djmedic2008 and his waterproofing/resisting method)

I tried searching but could not find the answer I was looking for.

I would use servo extension cables to provide the extra leads.

Items like lights usually have a controller that will need to be waterproofed too so adding extra leads to the waterproof box might not be as helpful as you want.

I do the same, or if I have a dead servo lying around I cut the lead off and put a female servo connector on. I have used plastidip, but dont like it for waterproofing. It still seems to let some moisture through, so I It's better to use a conformal coating.

I usually get a bunch of 3" servo extensions.....pop the rx out of whatever plastic box/housing its in....put the extension on all the plugs and platidip it...been doin it for years now and I've never had a problem....something I also learned from medic.....if it works it works........just take a look at it after its dried to make sure any air bubbles didn't pop open that's why people have a problem with it they dip it one time ..dont check it and get mad when water still gets in.....common sense is key
