Default Are you still running a receiver pack?

I decided to go brushless a few weeks ago and quickly found out that the bec in the mamba 25 was not up to the task after insalling a 3 cell lipo. I tried everything to make it work and had no luck so I threw on a receiver pack. Voila problem was all gone.

Now the thing was I was not about to run a friggin receiver pack as the goal of this build was super light and compact. So off to the hobby shop I go. I searched and all I found was a novak nitro regulator. This would have been fine but was only good up to 8.4 volts or 2 cell lipo.

Enter the airplane and heli section. After some searching, I found what looked like it would be perfect. I picked it up and came home.

It was a quick install. I soldered it onto the esc side of the battery conector, removed the red wire from the esc/receiver connection and tried it out.

Holey crap this thing is unreal, It can be used up to 12volts and puts out a constant 6 volts at 7.5 amps.
I have since installed one on my super truck and it has been awesome not having to worry about charging up receiver packs and cleaned up the rigs a bunch.

Duralite ppd-54060 is the part number.

Hope someone else is able to lighten their load.

Sean.
