Default Do I need a Regulator

I was just at the hobby shop picking up the last pieces for my tlt and the guy mentioned that I might need a regulator for my servo. I am going to be running a hitec hs-645mg. I have a futaba cr330 esc and a traxxas reciever?

Do I need one? And if so where do i put it.

If you are just using the BEC on your speedcontrol you do not need a regulator only if you plan to hook up your receiver directly to your battery pack.

No, you don't need one. Like Groffball said, only if you're hooking up your battery directly to your reciever.

My receiver is only hooked up to my esc by the 3 wire plug. Not connected to battery directly.

So your saying no regulator needed then?

Thanks for the info

You should be fine without it if you are just running the one servo.

The only time you need a regulator or reciever pack is when you are running two or more high drain servos
