Default Max MaH esc's can take

how exactly can i figure out what a esc's max MaH battery it can take , forinstance im picking up a novak super duty XR and was going to get a lipo with a lowvolt safty on it also , but how can i tell whats the highest mah battery it can handel with out burning out . thx

I don't think you quite understand what Mah is. It is milli amp hours, it is a unit of capacity, you can have a 1,000,000 Mah battery and it won't be any different than a 1900 mah battery to your esc. The voltage is what will cook an esc, just stay within the voltage limit and you should be fine.

i was just cerious becouse becouse i saw a esc that said it could run up to 4500mah . so it got me very confused .. just wanted to conferm . thx for ur info

thats cuz of the runtime, some racing esc are made to run only 5 or 8 minutes and if you'd drive longer they heat up to much with racing gear ratio's.
if you where to gear em down they'd hold up for longer periods.
i hope i made some sense.
