Default Best 4CH Radio for Hurtz Dig & 4WS

I am putting 4ws and dig on my wraith and looking for the best 4 channel Rx/Tx. I am using the vanquish hurtz dig unit so I think both 3rd and 4th channel will need to be 3 position. I would like to buy the best radio available but do not want to spend more than $400. If there is something in the $200 range would be better. Basically I am asking for opinions and looking for the best bang for my buck.
Thanks in Advance,
Kris

No experience, but I purchased...

Airtronics Radio, Airtronics MT-4 SSR 2.4 GHz Radio System with 4-Channel Receiver [AIR90481] - A Main Hobbies

I like the lever control which is near your thumb to control the rear steering servo.

I have a Spektrum dx4s and I love it, you can set your 3Rd or 4th channel to whichever button you want and what not.

I'm not sure how exactly the Hurtz dig operated, but most mechanical Dig switches have the positions "4wd - Free wheel - Dig"

So the default position on a standard 3 position will be the center "free wheel"

The Flysky GT3B/GT3C I sell with the upgraded firmware has a feature called Multi-Position. What this does is allow you to order those positions in any order. So the default position can be 4wd, with dig or free on either side of it.

Found this thread so I did not want to start a new one. I have a MOA crawler and I want to also get a radio that will do 4WS. Also would like it to be able to operate a dig module or dual ESC later on. Maybe a winch even further down the road. For 4WS I would like to be able to have 4WS, crab, front only, and rear only. I was looking at the MT-4S, is this the best radio for this? I would like to stay under the 400.00 mark if possible. All opinions and suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Also a recommendation for a good HT servo that is compatible with the high polling rate of the radio.

Thanks for the info. But is the range as good? Is the flysky rx durable? Is the polling rate as good or at least close. Interference problems?

Speaking from my own experience with my hacked radio.

Range is as far as you could need it to be, it's not as good as futaba on range.

Yes the RX is durable, I run mine at 7V, (gotta bind at 6-6.5v). I have a flysky rx in a boat that has been sunk 3 times, no waterproofing was done to it and it still works, that's not to say it will live past the next run but so far so good, if you plan to hit water just waterproof it to be safe.

Not entirely sure what the polling rate is

As for interference, every now and then around large crowds with airplane radios or a bunch of Spektrums, I have noticed an odd "blip" but it's never kept me from running and placing well.

If Futaba made a radio that could do what the Hacked radio can I'd have it, but with 8ch, and all the features you could ever want, there is no other pistol grip radio on the market that can beat the hacked flysky.

That is my honest opinion of the hacked gt3c.

I have the spektrum dx4c and I really enjoy it. Seems to be pretty durable and cheap.

MT-4 for the win! It does it all..

Moa, 4ws, winch, shift servo, and not all the buttons to push and forget where your at..

What's the difference between the MT-4 and MT-4 SSR?

How a seller labels it, from what I can tell.. I have the MT-4 and a MT-4s. The only difference I can tell, is the backlit screen, different color grip, and came with a different rx.
Then the 40th anniversary edition, is sexy, but still just a different look..

The mt-4s also supports control codes for the sanwa esc and gyros which allow you to change the actual esc settings using the Tx. The MT-4 does not. Only useful for sanwa esc or gyro.
