| Battery cable extension
I did a few searches and really hadn't come up with a solid answer, so I figured I'd ask here. I have a TF2, and I'm sure those that have one know how much of a task it can be to disconnect or charge for that matter if the battery is in the factory location. I use a 2S lipo with a sidewinder CC ESC. I was wondering if making a 6 to 8 inch extension from my battery to my ESC, in an attempt to be able to charge and power down my truck, would put my electronics at any risk? I mention 6 to 8 in. but it may be shorter than this as I just need to have access to the plug is all. I know that with added wire length and two additional connection points, comes added resistance, but I'm wondering if it's worth it to be able to charge and power down a bit faster. Has anyone ever done this or heard of this being used before? I'm using Traxxas connectors but will be switching to Deans style soon. Last edited by tokdl; 03-09-2014 at 01:23 PM. |

With the low amperage draw on most crawlers and scalers, I wouldn't be concerned about some extra wire length.
