Default Help with go fast electronics please

So here's the story - I have an Associated T4.2 that I ran thru last summer. Springtime came and I hooked up the battery and it kinda "cuts out" whenever it fealt like it. I was running a SV3 system with factory settings. I decided that maybe there was something wrong with the ESC so I bought another SV3 system just a week or so ago. Get it hooked up and same issue. Next I replaced the Spectrum RX thinking maybe that was junk. No change. Still cuts out. The only electronic I haven't changed is the servo as I can't see a servo causing this to happen. It is a digital vortex . Any ideas what/where I can start next? All wires seem to be good(no frays or cuts anywhere I can see).

Get a castle link and see what your settings are. That certainly can't hurt.

What do you mean by "cuts out".
What first comes to my mind is your battery. You are possibly tripping the LVC of the ESC. Check your battery and make sure you don't have a dead cell causing low voltage. Or try another battery.
You running 2s, 3s? An sv3 is only good for up to 3s. Anything higher voltage will cause the ESC to shut down also.
My guess is its the battery one way or another. Unless I misread your post..

BEC. Maybe a glitch buster would help. Castle ESC are known for terrible internal BEC's, yet they make the best external BEC available. Plus spectrum rx are also a little tempermental on the power side. Glitch buster should help. BEC will cure it.

Thank for the ideas guys. I will say that its not a battery issue as I run only 2S lipos and tried 3 different batteries that work fine in my other rigs. When I say "cuts out" it almost as if the power is just cut off. The SV3 doesn't restart as it doesn't lose power but the steering and throttle cut right out. Thinking it was the RX I tried 3 other Rx's that I have and work fine in other rigs and the same results occur. I'll have to see if the settings some how got changed with the castle link but doubtful

See if you can replicate it without the servo. If you can i'd say you need a BEC. Sounds like you are browning out the RX with too much amp draw. As Violator mentioned, castle makes great external BEC's but not internal. You'll like the added torque your servo gets as a bonus. If you set the appropriate voltage.

After some tinkering and process of elimination it ended up being the servo. I had a solar lying around that I took some time to install and it seemed to go away as I drove it a solid 1/2 pack with no cut off. Thanks to everyone who suggested different ideas for a solution. The biggest + I get to take away from this is I now have a new SV3 for my MOG build.
