It's very capable of 4s..
I run my scx on 4s geared 56/11 with 1.9 Rock Beasts..
I also run one in my wraith on 4s, geared 54/12, pushing 20mph with 2.2 Rock Beast 2's..

Been running it this way since about the time they came out.. At the time, no one had an answer for me for the same question.. JRH gave me the green light to give them a testing to hell and back.. So I did and still am!

I swapped out a Pro4 and haven't looked back.. I ruined 2 rotors in the Pro4 4000kv motor..

I slow crawl the wraith and do full throttle aerial assault's with it.. By no means am I nice to it.. Check out my Sexo thread in the wraith section.. It got nicknamed "Crunchy" cause of all the parts I have broken..

I've used many different brushless motors and the HH Trailmaster, by far, has held up an exceeded the competition.

Wow! I really like the sounds of this seeing how I just snagged one of these motors. What gearing are you using and how heavy do you say your wraith is? I was thinking of putting this in my scx10, now i am thinking it should go in my wraith on 4s. In a scx10 on 3S it should be flippin'silly. keeping gearing @ 5:1 to start or can it be geared lower for torque without issues?

My scx is geared 32p 56/11 (5.09:1) about 8lbs.. Upgrade ur drive train! the torque from this motor is Nasty! How do I know...
My wraith is geared 32p 54/12 (4.5:1) gearing with 2.2 RB2's and around 7-7½lbs. (So no need to gear lower for torque)
The wraith has zero problems with smooth startup, slow crawling, or torque in Any way! Again, upgrade ur drive train...
Disclaimer: the motor gets hot in the wraith.. Like the bottom of the skid is warm to touch after a 4400mah 4s run.. I wouldn't touch my motor!
I've pushed the motor and the rig to it's limits.. Now I'm goin for longevity of abuse!

The first few runs had regular "roar legal" 0.35mm aminations, and combined with the large rotor they do run hot when pushed beyond 35,000rpm.

The new motors have 0.2mm laminations to reduce the motor temperatures quite a bit, since nobody gives a flip about ROAR rules on the trail. We have changed the can to silver from now on to signify this improvement, and will be offering a black "sport" model with regular 0.35mm lams very soon.
