Post Building a rx pack

I was looking on ebay and another place where you can build cheap battery packs, hint hint, .com and was wondering if the new 2500 would be the best for a pack for my Clod. I've never ran a rx pack but would like more juice since I'll be running 2 towerpro servo's. I'm building a 4500 nimh pack at the .com place and would like to know should I build a really good one or just get a stock one for nitro's for the Clod?

On a side note, does it have to be AA batteries or could I use the larger 123's?

You can use whatever size you want as long as it is 6volt. Longer runtimes with the more MAH you have. Also more weight though. Depends on your preference. I'm running a 2/3A 1200mah Venom battery that is for nitro with a 4/5A 2000mah CPB pack for my main pack. It lasts at least as long as the main pack, I always just change both when the main pack dumps. I'm running this in a clod type vehicle, the GMADE Spider. You could even run a subC rx pack if you wanted as long as it was 6volt, 5cells. Hope this helps you with your decision.
