Havin some issues with My ESC or Reciever

Well I know this is gonna sound dumb but I rebuilt my TLT, made a cutting board laydown chassis, went to throw the electronics back in and can't get the damn thing to work

Anyway I have a tq3 radio and the traxxas reciever, futuba 330 mcr.

I got it wired up the servo is on channel 1, esc on channel 2, think this is how it went. and now i cant get the ESC to turn on with its switch, that is unless i run a reciever pack in teh B position of the reciever, than everything works fine. Without that nothing works no matter which combination i try.

So does this sound like a BEC problem with the ESC? Or is this a reciever issue or am i just retarded when it comes to plugging in the switches in?

Does the black or white go out on the wiring? What position does each plug go into so I do not have to use a reciever pack?

I did some searching and couldnt find what i was looking for, this has me stumped.
