Hacked or in hacked?

Sounds like an issue with either calibration or wire connections.

Does battery read correct voltage in another radio? Has actual voltage been established with volt meter?

Sounds odd......... Never had any issues like that. I've had Gt3b, 3c and gtx3.

May want to open up and look for loose or broken battery wire

Let us know what ya find. The wires all in plug from the main board. I would open it completely up and check for smashed or broken battery wires running up to board and or cold solder joints on board.

Also look into if there are issues with the power button. They seem to have issues so replacing with small toggle and eliminating the factory switch is a good fix. Could have bad contact causing that to happen.

On all of mine, when you turn them on, the voltage drops a little then recovers back to where it was charged. For example, if it's freshly charged and showing 4.0v. You can turn it off and back on and it might hit 3.8 but recover back to 4 after a second or two. Generally it's pretty stable though and doesn't wander more that +/- 0.2v.
