Default noob help

OK, i want to build a trail rig. NOT a dedicated crawler.
it will be Maxx based. (because i have spare maxx parts laying around)
what i want to do is
run dual 35T lathe motors on 1 11.1v (3s) lipo using the EVX. is this possible using the EVX mod i read about on here? (shorting 1 side of the batteries)
will i need to run the motors in a different wiring configuration than they are stock? what guess would you make as to top speed, i am looking for 10-12 mph.
any thoughts or sugguestions?

My buddy ran a 11.1 volt lipo in his maxx crawler with the single battery mod. Worked fine. I don't know if the stock motors are wired in parralel or series. The speed would be determined by what gears you have or put in it. His truck has 2x55 turn integy's wired in parralel with 9 tooth pinions and running an 8 cell 2000mah battery right now and his speed is a regular walking pace. The 8 cell is only 9.6volts, so the 11.1 would be faster and the 35 turn motors would make it faster too.

You're going about it all wrong. Don't worry about top speed.

Read through the Maxx forum and see what works.

Several guys just run a single motor on a GD600 which is fed into the E-Maxx tranny.

Off the top of my head...that EVX scenario should work.
