Default weird glitchy-ness

I have been having problems with my TLT glitching when I give it throttle. I am running TQ3 radio gear, novak XRS esc, Futaba servos and a integy 55t motor with a 20 tooth pinion. Sometimes when I give it throttle it will just stop and sometimes it will go to full throttle forwards and even backwards. It is driving me insane. I have two guesses. First, the crystal is touching the aluminum frame, and second, the battery sat for 9 months and it might not be holding enough voltage. Deans connectors throughout.

One more thing, when I pick up the truck it never glitches.

Well, two things that come to mind is to make sure the antenna isn't touching any metal and maybe try installing capacitors on the motor.

Just carry it around the rocks and your problem is solved.

Nah,seriously,if it doesn't glitch after you pick it up,theres abviously something touching while the weight is on the truck. You pick it up and the connection causing the glitch goes away, follow what I'm saying. You might look at everything and you might find a tiny piece of bare wire thats barely kissing the chassis while it's on it's own weight.

Just an idea,hope it helps

Unplug each servo or esc individually and see if it stops. sometimes a bad servo or ESC can cause it.

If it runs just fine when you pick it up then to me it sounds like you have power supply issues and the XRS can't handle 2 servos AND moving a rig around. I would bet money a RX pack would fix your problem

That is true,The XRS ain't much of a ESC. The low BEC level hurts it bad.

I was thinking that yesterday. Fudge, there is no chance in hell the LHS will have anything resembling a receiver pack. Wonder if they have battery bars....now is as good a time as any to make my first battery pack, haha. I have been planning on running a rx pack regardless, but just havent ordered it from cheapbatterypacks.com Thanks for the help guys.

i have a http://rcsiden.dk/images/80576_01.jpg

Which i would trade for a aluminium servo arm or $$

For a extra $7.00 i will throw in 4 1200mah batterys rechargable for it

Thanks for the offer, but it would take longer to get one from the UK than it would to have one made here.

I was going to ask if you'd made sure the RX antenna hadn't been cut somehow.

The antenna on Ralph got pinched between the frame and the rocks...cut it.

I had the same issues.

So when you plugged your rx pack your ESC does nothing?

Try plugging your rx pack into your receiver but don't turn your esc on.

I have the same problem. so what i do is turn my esc off and just plug my rx pack in and it runs fine
