Default securing large batterys

I am buildinng a axial yeti now and the battery I have fits perfectly but I cannot close the little swinging door because of the wires coming off the battery. I'd rather not hack up the plastic. The only other option I can think of and have come across are Velcro straps. Are there any other options?S
