Default Ice vs Hyperion chargers

At the end of the week, I will be buying me a new charger, as I been using superbrain 959 and would like to get something better. So I narrowed it down to either ice or hyperion eos7i But I can't make up my mind on which one. Hyperion seems like it little better.Any help would be most grateful.b

I use the Ice, does all you'll need. Ni-cad, Ni-MH, Li-po and I think even Li-ion. All for $109 Can't tell you much about the other one, never looked into it myself.

i have the hyperion and its an awesome charger. i got it mostly for its lipo capabilities, but it can also charge nimh up to 7A. basically it offered more options/capabilities in the future of batteries

The hyperion has a higher charge rate and higher cell count capability. I love mine.

The quality I see in the Hyperion brushless motors, which is awesome,I'd imagine the chargers are the same quality. Personally,I'd lean towards the Hyperion myself,I'd like to get one eventually. Right now I use a Triton and a Integy 16x4. I'd like to retire the 16x4 and try a Hyperion. Both work great, but my Integy 16x4 is showing it's age when I compare the charge results between the Triton and the Integy.

You can get the ICE at tower with $10 off purchases over $100 and you get a $10 tower gift certificate with the ICE purchase ($104). I've used my ICE for a while now and it works great. I've charged NIMH and Lipo's with it.

Dont forget about the Hyperion 5i. Retail around 80 (if I remember right) with 5 amps charge rate.

Found 'em on ebay for $109 shipped awhile back, might still be on there or even cheaper now. The ice will charge up to 10 cells and up to 8 amps. Not sayin it's the best charger or best deal out there but definatly worth throwin in the mix when lookin for a charger. IMO

I have never used hyperion you guys are talking about, but I do have an ICE and I LOVE IT. I also have a pulsar 2 and an integy 16x4 and the ICE shiats on all of them. Excellent charger for the price

Don't forget about the LBA10 balancer option for the 5i and 7i. It's got a data cable that connects the two together so you can monitor individual cell voltages (Lipo). It's the safest and best wat to charge/care for your Lipo's!
