| 45T lacking power?
I have an integy 45t motor and it's with an associated pro esc (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHSV7&P=7) Now I don't know if it's the ESC's fault, but this motor just seems to lack pushing power. I come up to a rock (battery charged), and it won't crawl up, it seems like it just stops. I know it sounds kinda newbish and stupid, but I can get a vid of this. And these aren't huge rocks neither. It's like I have to ram the rock to get up it. What could be the problem? I'll get a small clip soon, tomorrow (night now) |

You may need to run a rx pack. on some transmitters (inluding myselfs) has a function where you can change % of speed you want from your motor if you have this option adjust it %100 |

I was using my JR radio and I had to on 100%. Now I'm using a 3ch Traxxas radio b/c I'm going to setup a winch soon. But before, I never ran an xtra pack in the rx, I'll try it and see what happens. Thanks, |

12/83 or 13/83 would be a great place to start on 6 cells even.

Yeah an 83 tooth 32 pitch would be a REALLY big gear. Kind of hard to fit on a tranny. Have never seen one either. You have 48 pitch.

Ok problem, I went to my LHS and picked up a RR 12T 48P pinion and it's diameter is too short. It touched the spur gear, but wont mesh with it. I adjusted my motor screws to make it mesh, but it still wont. What can I do?

Look to see what is causing the issue. Either the motor is hitting the tranny body, the screws dont have any more room to shift, or the motor face is not alllowing the motor to slide any more.

The motor is tight up against the tranny body, so it wont move any further. So my only option is to get a bigger spur. Thanks all. |

Just so you know, the stock TLT gears are NOT 48p. Atleast mine weren't. If you take a 48p spur gear and try to mesh it with the stock spur you will see what I mean. Now to make a smaller pinion mesh, you might have to shave down the motor mount. Make the screw slots longer and any where the motor hits. |

They're METRIC 48 pitch. You need to use a metric pinion gear, or the gears WILL eat each other.

I missed the part about it being the stock tranny. I put a 48 pitch pinion on my stocker and it made a heck of a squealing noise, but it worked for awhile. The pitch is metric. I looked for bigger spurs and couldn't find any in that pitch. I fixed mine by going to a pede tranny.
