Hey guys, I have an axial scx10 and I want to get a new battery and charger. I am wondering if the thunder ac6 charger works with the gens ace 2s 5000mah 40c battery. If not what other good inexpensive charger would work with the battery thx.

Seeing how the Thunder AC6 is a lipo charger and the gens ace battery is a lipo, what do you think?

I also have a question on chargers but to answer your question, i really like my Hitec X1. Great charger for the $$ and more than capable to charge your batteries listed. I have a Hitec X1 and all my batteries are 5000mah. I now have some 50C SPC 8200mah batteries. What charger would you guys recomend in the $150-200 range to handle the 8200mah batteries? Thanks for any information. |

For some reason I think the max charge rate has to do with total mah it can charge. Of course not true. Charge 1 amp per 1000mah General rule. That doesmt mean it's limited just my brain. I could charge at 5 amps until it hits 8200mah or 20000mah. Shouldn't matter I take it.

You're correct, won't matter. Milli (1000) amp hours. |

So that being said since my MRC 989 can charge up to 10v I can charge at 1c up to a 10000Mah pack? Buying a new charger will not improve my charging speed but I do need to find a way to charge my batteries to storage levels. |

I have old Triton chargers that only go up to 5000. It would take it 2 hours at 1C to get to 10,000. But it will do it. It doesn't stop when it hits 5000. It stops when the algebra wizard inside finishes its math problem.

Makes perfect sense as it takes just over 55 minutes to charge the 5000. The manual says up to 19,900 mah but I see me having another charger before I ever get a battery that big.
