Thumbs up Have any of you tried this motor?

I bought a tamiya project motor at the lhs(I can get the part number if needed),not too long ago,i am running it in my txt with gd600 gear red. and 9 tooth. You have to cut and grind the shaft for this motor to work. The thing barely moves, even at full speed(which is good) and has massive tourqe!I just didn't know if anybody hd tried it yet and wanted opions and to let you know they are only 9.99 and are 550 sized. So far I love this thing, and with the gear reduction I don't have the damn 'roll off' that I used too!Where you would get up on something, and either need to go backa hair and reposition,or be on an incline and have the free roll from the tranny and mass of the truck roll you into trouble.I wll have pic soon(when I finaly become a supporter...waiting till payday!)Any sug. or qwestions let me know!(and yes the lath motor is on its way soon I hope to have even better performance!)

the motor can is acualy bigger,I ran the mabuchi motors that came with the truck for a while but when running one even with the nine tooth,i burnt them out fast. The motor looks like an unstickered version on the emaxx motor, but with a much thicker ,longer shaft, that is flanged around the end of the shaft.(lol that doesn't sound a little 'odd' now does it!!)

What is the part number for the mabuchi motor you're using? I would be interested in one.

the part number is DLR119 its a 550 12v mabuchi project motor . I took the ol mountain goat out for a stroll on some rock the other day, first time I really got to see just what this thing can do!I swear if I ran an evx,or even 10 cells on my super rooster I would hate to see how fast this thing would eat up my drive line parts. Its already about to pull the maxx shafts apart with that gd600
