Default Help finding ESC for 60amp Brushless!

Hi folks,

I'm going to try this outrunner:

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...odID=EFLM4032A

It's a biggie, and calls for a 60amp ESC, so my Quark 33 probably wont work. Anyone know of some larger ESC's that have instant (or close to it) reverse that can handle that power? I have a quark Comp 80 that I could try, but I dont think it has a very quick reverse...

Thanks!
Ryan

I think you'll have problems feeding it the proper voltage.

Doesn't the mamba maxx handle that? 10-14 cells, man that thing has about the requirements of my feigao 8xl in my fast brushless e-maxx.

Mamba max or the Quark 80 would cut it. I think it would do fine on 6-10 cells depending on speed that you want.

Thanks for the feedback. I run a 3 cell lipo, which the motor's stats say it likes. I'll try my Quark 80, and if no love, then a mamba max... Perhaps I need to head over to RC universe and ask someone with a mamba max how the reverse works!

thanks,
ryan

The reverse is faster than the quark, I know that. I run the mamba max on all my brushless ;)

I love the reverse in the Max. Right there when you want it, or select the double-pump option. Best part is, you can tweak it with the USB cable. I'll never get tired of that

Well, it sounds like the mamba max is the way to go! I'd better order one then..

It'd be ashame to take my Quark out of the RC10T2 w/ 6 turn hacker and 6s Lipo! ;)

Thanks all, I'll report how the MM works...
