hey guys i need some help! im getting ready to buy a custom pack pack from cbp.com most likely a 2/3a 7or8 cell pack but i dont know the best way to mount it or which cell configuration to go with. i have a jefferson chassis and reign products recomend's a 6 cell saddle pack(sub c) well i want to go with the smaller and lighter 2/3a cells. i read dirks thread on weight placement Balancing Weight it sounds to me like the best place for the weight is centerd and as low as possible. so i was thinking of going with a 4 cell nunchuck style pack 4 cells on eack side. what do you guys think and how and where do you mount your packs? im building this rig to compete in the 2.2 comp class. pic'c would be gteat..thanks |

I keep mine as forward and as high as possible since I have a bad habbit of always winding up in the water.

I used to rock out with a Jefferson. I tried 3 Sub Cs on each side, and I tried 2 on each side, and honestly, I always prefered a lighter, smaller pack velcroed on top of the steering servo. It was made up of either AAs, or 2/3As. Get the Elite 1500s if you're getting any 2/3As. |
