Im running an XRS and every now and then when im climbing and my tires become "stuck" on rocks it stops working and just makes noise. Once i pick it up or move the truck it works like normal. I belive it is because of the BEC on the unit. Other than that it works great!

the xrs had a dubble pump reverse, where when you put it into reverse it applys brake then reverse once it is stoped, vs others where tghere is no pause, which is better for crawling.

its going in my high lift, which isnt critical in crawling. its a scaler not a comp rig.

i actually like the double pump action of my XR on my clod. you can mash the brakes for decents and it'll help you control your vehicle more. if you are starting to tip, you simply "double pump" the throttle in reverse and away she flys backwards!!!

That's how the Super Rooster works. The tires have to come to a complete to a stop, then it'll engage reverse. With the XRS you need to go into reverse again to get it to go backwards, or it'll just sit there, braking.

The XRS is nice, I don't really have any complaints. There's means around a weak BEC so that shouldn't deter you from a purchase of any speed control. But as is, it works good with one servo, even an Airtronics 200 oz Rock Crusher. Or two lesser demanding servo's, like the two in the Spektrum DX3 package, and in my Hi Lift.

id have to say moped also, its pretty small 1.5"x1.5" doesnt get hot, doesnt have double pump, doesnt do any wierd stalling, easily handles 2 lathe motors. it has a decent BEC and should be able to handle the two servos on the highlift.

I have been running the XRS with no probs for awhile now. Best way to go if you are real estate challenged.
