| maxx crawler is craping out. need help
hey guys i have a maxx crawler and i have a 55 turn lathe motor in it, and my speed control is a few years old, i was wondering if i need a new one, when the crawler gets stuck the speed control beeps then shuts off for a few seconds then turns back on what should i do, should i buy a nother one, what kind should i get. P.S. it has a 9 tooth and a 72 and there is no binding whats so ever.

It sounds like the ESC cant handle the load. Are you running 1 motor and 2 servos? |

| A little more details will help... How many motors are you running? How many servos? Digital servo(s)? If you have a receiver pack, try using that and see if the problem goes away. it could just be that the BEC is not strong enough for the stuff you have. |

ok, i have one 55t with one servo, but i can do two servos. i want enough power to run one motor and two servos if i want to. |

In your original post you said this occurred when the truck gets stuck. If the wheels are not spinning that is when the motor will stall and cause the ESC to generate the most heat. Most ESCs will enter a temporary thermal shutdown when they get too hot. Some may take longer to get to this point than others.

id probly just try a diff esc with out a thermal shut down option ive seen some cheap futaba esc on tower for lik 25 bux i highly doubt that they have a good thermal shutdown |
