Has anyone here ever "modded" the DX6 so that the left stick is self centering. I have heard you can get them NIB already like this, but i dare ya to try to find one. I want to order ASAP but i know i need to mod it to self center. I cannot find any writeups anywhere on this, but I know a few people out there have done it. Where can I find parts? or where can I special order what I want? ....this money in my pocket is starting a fire |

i also didn't have to pay extra to do that. went to my lhs and ordered it thru him since he stocked them anyway. he called them to find out and they said it wouldn't cost extra to do the mod.

Yea what he said. ^^^^^^^^ I went to my local HT and told them what I wanted and they ordered it up for me. I paid $219 out the door after taxes and all.

| I called Horizon directly a month or two back and they said that if I bought it from them they would do the mod right away and then send it out for no extra charge. And to buy it from them was the same price as buying it from my lhs. |

I dont f'n understand it.... I just got off the phone with horizon hobby and the guy said to me that they dont sell any of the parts for the dx6... then he asked one of the tech guys about what I wanted to do. When he returned to the phone he said ya, no problem if you send that in to us we would gladly do that mod for you, about 50$ sooo... ok I then asked him if he would just sell me the parts they would use to do it and he said no! WTF! Why wouldnt they sell just the parts? stupidest thing ive ever heard thats all i got for horizon f'n hobby!

You can just buy the parts for carrying out this alteration. I bought mine from a shop that sold a lot of helicopters. The parts where one pound fifty which is about 3 dollars. It comprised of the rocker "thing" and the spring. I am sure it was in a Ripmax bag but I cannot be positive.
