Default Corrosion X

Does this stuff really work? Wanna use it on my esc but I read online a guy used it on his esc and he took it in the snow and it blew up. Just wanted to hear how your luck has been with it. Thanks.

I only use that stuff on servos. For an esc you want conformal coating.

I used to use it as a backup. I would seal the case with electronic safe silicone after I dipped boards in corrosion x.

I use it extensively on my RCs and didn't have a problem... Sure I don't play the submarine with my RCs, but the occasional dip underwater never caused me trouble.

On the plus side, it will waterproof connections like servo plug that you have to remove and replug. Best scenario is to wait 24h once applied/dipped to make sure the product has displaced moisture and had time to coat everything.

Perfect to keep rust away on bolts, nuts, Hex. And it lube driveshaft/links joints.
I also use Corrosion X HD in the tranny and diffs since it's a very good lubricant. And sticky.

It's my product of choice around the car, door hinges, trailer plug, battery connections.

My K-5 Blazer has always been treated with Corrosion X, and it is 1 year old, gone through snow/mud/water, garden hose washed every time, no rust, no electrical problems, and nothing is "company" waterproof on it. And not even in a dry box. Everything is exposed to the elements.
