| Eflite 450 outrunner in a crawler
Is it possible to run this in a TLT based crawler? if so then what would be a reasonable solution for an ESC to run and the best route to use it in a Pede trans.

It has a 4mm shaft, so finding pinions is near impossible. Otherwise, it will work. The park 400 or the RR2 would be a better choice. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...&highlight=rr2 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...&highlight=rr2 |

I've got a 450 in a build I'm working on. Buddy of mine has a 480 in one of his crawlers. Both required removing the rotor shaft and turning them down in a lathe. I'm using a Quark 33, he's using a Mamba 25. |

Thanks for the replies. I just have one sitting here and since it would not sell I thought I would check. I quess I will stick with the plan on the 55.

I just drilled my pinion gear 20/90 seems to work really well with 6 cells. The 450 is a potent little thing, but drilling pinions is a PITA. If I hadn't gotten a steal of a deal on it, I'd have put an RR2 in there. Had a customer return the thing because there was rust on the stator And since the prop adapter had been mounted, we couldn't re-sell it. |
