Default Want to run 8 cells

I want to run 8 cells on a novak reactor. I have the ESC laying around so
I want to use it before spending money on a new one. I am running two axle snapper motors. From what I have read I need to use as much voltage as I can. The reactor is rated for 6-7 cells but I wanted to know if running one more cell, 9.6 instead of 8.4, with high turn motors will damage the ESC. I want to use it but I also don't want to melt it either.

I run 8 cells on an XRS. With the 55 turn the demand isn't that high. The XRS is only rated 4-7 cells as well. I have been running it for a while with no issue.
