| HiTec questions
Hey everyone, Did a few searches, but didn't find much info.......so here goes. I've got a couple of HiTec HS-645MG servos I'm looking at dropping into a shafty-project I'm building. Anyone running these? Any thoughts on their ability to turn LST's with a 6v Rx pack? Any info would be great.......... |

The 645's would work on a budget, might be a little weak. Airtronics make a nice non digital 200 oz servo for around $100. Hitec make a dital robot servo with 300+ oz of torque. Either of these would work reallyy well turning big tires. In reference, the 645 is around 130 oz.

Aaaah! Don't listen to 'em all!!!! I run only 645's and love them. I even run them on Digler, with narrowed Jumbo Kongs and they work just fine!!!! If you can....get the new equivalent Hitec servo with titanium gears. |

Thanx for the feedback guys. I've got 'em kickin' around so I guess I'll try 'em out and see how they hold up to start. I'm sure they won't be quite as "sKetchy" as my XTM X-175 servos in my clod...........

They sorta work. I just striped a gear out of one in the rear with a alu servo arm. I switched to a Bluebird BMS-630MG (which i promptly fried the electronics under water) and it was like night and day. Made the Hitec look like a weak little toy! |
