Default dual winches on a 3-channel radio

not sure if anyone else is running dual winches or not but i thought i'd post up my set up. i have had one on the front of my scaler for quite a while now but was wanting to put one on the rear as well for those DWA moments i seem to be getting more often. for mock up and initial testing, i used an 80 oz/in servo mounted high and out of the way under the rear of my scaler. to operare it using the dx3 radio, i installed an on-off-on switch in the tool box. this way i can select front or rear winch and have them both off for less power loss and no "seeking" issues. you will need to synchronize the pots in the servos so that they are as close to center and each other as possible. that way there is minimal adjustment or issue when adjusting the 3rd channel trim. the wiring was simple to do. the two signal wires were soldered together and the positive and negative wires were soldered to the 3 position switch. i used servo lead extension plugs for ease of removal.

here is the switch mounted.

Nice Dean. I was wandering about the centering issues with two winch servos. Sounds like a Pain! Cant wait to see it in action
