Default Lathe motor question

Can anyone tell me the rpm differences in the Integy 35t, 45t, and 55t motors? Just curious as every where I look the 55t are out of stock. Looking at possible substitutions.

Thanks,
Z-Rider

The 35 is fastest, 45 a bit slower, 55 slower still.

The 55t is so popular because It has enough speed on 6 cells, but is still slow enough for a crawl and it wont overheat when stalled a lot.

Thanks! Just wondering as I will use this as a crossover rig. Some crawling and some trail running. Which in your opinion should I go with? Running on 6 cells if that helps.

Thanks!

I would go with a 45t or 35t. The 45 might be the good in-between.

You could also get any of them,if it's to slow for your taste, rewind it with a few less turns. If it's to fast for you, rewind with more turns. It's super easy to wind a motor. Only costs about 5 bucks and takes about 20 minutes

the higher turn motors are better becouse they have more torque, pull less current so they have longer run times and you can stop on a hill and they will hold with no power. My old clod with 55 turns would run for 45 to 50 min on a 3300 pack. My 2.2 will run for nearly 2 hrs on a 3800 pack with a 55 turn. also they are very controllable with a high turn motor so you can be very presise with your movments.

IF,your running a ESC with a true brake.....like the Mamba Max......then,it's not really the motor holding you back. The programming in the ESC is what gives the true drag brake.

I've yet to see a Clod or even a shafty, that won't take off like a batt outta hell if you release the throttle on a steep grade, unless they are running a Mamba Max or something with a true drag brake. Shafties will always be a hair better without the brake than a Clod,as far as running off on a steep grade. Untill you get an ESC with drag brake, you won't really know how beneficial the drag brake is. I can stop my Twin Force on a nearly verticle ledge, about 75-80 degrees, and it will just sit there all day long. My sons Twin Force running a Super Rooster, will just roll away.

My 2.2 with a 55 and xrs will hold all day long on one hell of a decline. If I tap the trigger it will start to coast but very slowly. The lower you gear them the better they hold. Also if you true up the com they will work better as from the factory they have very little brush contact surface area. Although thru normal usage you shouldn't get one of these hot if you happen to throw it away and buy a new one becouse after that they suck.

In a 4-5 pound 2.2,maybe and thats a big maybe,in an 18 pound super.....nope,won't do it. With a Mamba Max though.....it will with ease and it's got 12 times the power as well

the only way i could ever get my rig to hold on an incline was to adjust the throttle trim to keep the motor locked

I would think that doing that would 1 drain battery power and 2 get the comm hot QUICK.
