Default Making one working servo from 2 dead ones

So i have a hitec 645 servo that has a stripped gear. And a bluebird bms-630mg servo that has fried electronics. I was thinking about swapping the elctronics from the hitec servo over to the bluebird servo. Think that would work? Id leave the motors alone, just swap the little circuit board.
