Default i have a doubt about the receiver !

Well i want to put an ESC on my clod, the one i will be getting is this one http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/158180.asp

In another thread they told me that i will need an RX battery.. And reading the specs of my receiver it says this "The receiver in your agressor system includes a BEC, which eliminate the need for a separate receiver battery when used with a mechanical or electronic speed control, Power input should not be more than 8.4v (7 cells)"

That means i will be able to run the ESC with out the extra battery ? BTW: it also says BEC Maxium output: 3.0A

Thanks in advance.

You don't have to worry about the reciever's BEC, it's the BEC ratings for the ESC that you should look for.

You might not need a rx pack if your ESC's BEC puts out 3.0Amps or more. That will depend on what servos you are using.

The esc you have listed has these specs:
XTRA Eruption Car ESC F/B/R - 20-27 Turn
Operation: Forward/Neutral/Brake/Reverse
Brake: ABS/Prop
On Resistance (ohm): 0.011
Frequency: 3K
Max. Peak Current (Amps): 320
Max. Continuous Current (Amps): 98
B.E.C. (voltage/amps): 5v/1A
Input Voltage (cells): 6-7
Motor Turn: 20 - 36
One Touch Setting: Auto
Temperature Cut-Off: Yes
Water Cooling System: No

The BEC for that esc is rated for 5volts/1Amp, which will not be able to supply enough power for 2 servos.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but the only thing that concerned me about about this ESC was the lack of programmability. Has anybody had experience with an auto program ESC on a crawler before, and did you find it to be much of a problem?
