Default Mamba Monster X

Just picked up a MMX and I have a few questions for the guys running them.

I'm running a Hitec 7950TH and will the internal BEC be sufficient?

Next question has to do with drag brake on the fly, I am running a 2 speed and want to sync the drag brake with low gear. Has anyone been able to do this and how if so. I'm also thinking about scrapping the 2 speed and just running the drag brake off my 3rd channel.

Thanks for looking!!!

I'm using the mmx and it's running a mks bls380 at 8v no problem,

I have my drag brake set up on my third channel as a linear swich so I can adjust it on the fly, I have the dx4c so I still have a 4th channel for 2speed/dig/ lights ect, but if you only have 3 channels, I'm guessing you could just have your 3 channel set as a 2 position switch with a y harness and have the servo for the w speed and the mmx aux hooked up and it would change the two speed low and high and the drag brake would be off and on ( on for low gear I'm guessing is what your looking for?) Just a guess but might work I don't have a 2 speed trans to try it out

I'm running 2 MMXs now. Both set with 7.5 volts going to the servos and I've had no hiccups of any kind. The internal BEC seems to be more than sufficient.

Can anyone tell me the base settings for the MMX and a Holmes Puller Pro 3500kv. I'm new to the whole brushless thing and have no clue as to what I'm doing with this MMX.

I'm running that exact combo. I'm running medium startup power, 20% punch, flat throttle and brake curves and just adjust expo at the remote, and this is on 3s.
