| Need a servo Spektrum RC S6280 or Holmes Hobbies HV500
Servo shopping time for my Bomber IFS build. I am looking at the Holmes Hobbies HV500 or Spektrum S6289. Anyone running either of them and how waterproof are they. I am looking for a servo that is waterproof out of the box as I will never get around to waterproofing it.

Did you decide on a servo? I'm looking to upgrade my servo too. Looking pretty hard at a HV 500

I just added a HV500 to my Deadbolt. Love it, running the full 8.4 volts to it and it is a beast. Took it on it's first big outing last weekend (1 mile scale/trail comp) and for the full 2 hours and 40 minutes it performed like a champ and proved it's self to be very water proof. ;) Beside you can't go wrong with a Holmes product imo.

I haven't made a decision yet. I am leaning towards the HV500 since I am already running a a Puller Pro XL and BLE Pro ESC. My only concern is that its listed as Water-Resistant and not waterproof.

It's o-ringed so its probably going as good as anything else out there that claims to be waterproofed. Saying water resistant is being safe as nothing is really 100% waterproof.

Just be aware that the HV500 has tool steel gears, A nice coat of grease otta keep them from rusting if water gets in, But just a note .. I squeezed an oring in between the spline and my horn on my HV500, Haven't dunked it yet, But I'd be pretty confident to do so. HV500 tho is the clear winner at the price point its at.. |

I went with the HV500, I was able to get a better price on it.
