I hope there's one that has my name on it

I hope so too. A few new vendors have been putting a serious hurt on our handwound supply. Near constant backorders right now.

I fully understand. It's a good thing that HH is also accesible now for the Eurppean market. Was a bitch before... It was a (with all respect) before a strictly US and Canadaian thing only. A few exceptions....

As long as the famous HH quality remains, which i do not doubt.

I kinda figured it was an out of stock thing but my kit is still on backorder anyway so I am in no rush.

The quality can't change with higher volune, with the way we make motors. They either pass or fail during production, each step filtering out the occasional dud. It's all set up as a batched serial production line.

What is the better Brushed motor for a Bomber Kit? Would like decent wheel speed and some crawl capability.
I will eventually go to a brushless setup but for now im going to stay brushed
I will also be using my AE-5 as my esc. I know its not the best but dont want to buy anything else when I will be buying a B/L setup soon.

A 550 for sure, it helps with the 2.2 tires. I have a TrailMaster 21t 550 in the sealed can price range, and TorqueMaster 21t 550 of higher quality expert and Pro versions.

About 30 days on the 540 size motors. Plenty of 550 here, I'll be sure the site is showing it.

It's a 3mm shaft if that's what your asking if not, I run 13 tooth pinion on my crawlmaster 13t. Plenty of torque and wheel speed.

Couple questions.

-What is a 540 30T designed for? I don't know what G6 means.

My local shop sold me a Holmes Hobbies 540 30T. After doing a bit of research, I am stoked to have such a good product.

I am building a Traxxas TR4 Sport kit. I am going to crawl with it but also just be-bop around with it when in the desert. Not looking to compete just have fun with it.

One thing I noted was the motor shaft was too short to mount the pinion wheel as suggested. I flipped the pinion wheel around and it actually lined up perfect with the tranny wheel. Is this ok? No contact with motor case but very slight distance.

-What should I expect in driving performance from the 540 30T? I am pairing it with a HobbyWing Quicrun 1080 and a Savox 1210 Servo. My son has the Sport prebuilt and it has a Titan 550 27T. What is the big difference between his motor and mine from performance perspective?

Thanks

Welcome to the site. You posted in an ancient thread that probably won't get many responses. You would be better served posting at the thread below which is active.

Have tech questions? Will answer.
