Default Will a NOVAK Timbuk2 esc w/BEC work on 3s?

I have 2 Timbuk2 esc's and was wondering even though Novak say's 2s only, if it will work on 3s with the BEC. I plugged a 3s into it once before and it worked for about 15 seconds before shutting down so I unplugged it and plugged a 2s pack into it and it worked just fine. Any input is helpful.

It states explicitly that it is a 2S ESC. Considering it shut down on 3S, I don't think it will work. Novak stuff from that era isn't really very good. I would sell the 2 you do have and move into something a bit better.

Thank your lucky stars it hasn't burned up on 2s yet. The goat 3s would burn up and then novak would deny warranty for running 3s on it.

There is a reason why Novak is closing it's doors. They made crappy stuff the last 5-6 years and were way behind their competitors. The brushless era was not friendly to Novak. In the brushed age Novak was a powerhouse.
