| Opinion on possible new part... Stand alone light dimmer. Once again, can I ask for your opinion about weather a part is needed? I expect some of you run big lights without a remote control. Maybe just use a toggle switch or plug them in when you want them. Would you like a light dimmer? This would be a small device with a pot (rotary control) that you could twist to set how bright you run your lights. A pair of wires going into it will supply power and a pair going out of it to feed your lights. My thought is that you have a cool light bar but don't need it to always be set to blister eyeballs! Sometimes it is enough to just have it glowing. It might look like this prototype dimmer that I use on a home made LED work light. I could even build in functionality similar to this if it was wanted: Lipo Cutoff for 12 volt lighting powered by 3S packs You rotate the shaft to set the brightness. No knob on it to help save weight / space. Please let me know if this would be any use to you. Thanks, Al |

Personally, I don't see any need for it. Just my 2 cents.

i see a need, especially if you've got over 1700 lumins coming off of your RC lights (like me), and don't have a 3-4 channel radio to switch to. I could use a couple for my RCs that have the stock 2channel radio..., like my ascender, or my wrexo. |

Hmm, it would depend on cost and if I could figure out a good way to mount it. I could definitely see myself hooking one up to my Onetoomanyrcs lightbar, I rarely (if ever) need that thing running at full stadium light brightness... It would have to be waterproof too, my truck is part submarine... |

Because I am using a pot, the cost is low. Also, because I am using a pot, it isn't particular waterproof. Water could creep along the shaft and might mess up the pot. I think you could pop an o-ring and some grease onto the pot shaft to help keep the water out. For mounting, I think just tie wrap it to something. | |

When I come see you (to p/u my Tx) next month, if you've got any made up I'll give it a try. Or email me about how much and maybe I'll give one a try sooner than Christmas.. I think you're right about the tie-wrap, and I could just pop it in a balloon to waterproof it. |

I was thinking what about a little wireless fob with waterproof receiver wired inline the light power wires. Gets its power from the light power wires too. I can forsee a pot having problems with dust as well as water, mud, snow, etc. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |
