| Brood Motor Question
Hello, For the people who run, or have ran Brood motors, I have a question please. I have decided on a Team Brood Racing motors for my Bully 2, but I am undecided between two of them. After reading the descriptions, and with my limited knowledge on motors, I can not positively decide between the Creep or the Apocalypse motor. From the description it sounds like the Apocalypse 2 magnet motor is better at having “superior braking and holding power”, while the Creep motor’s 4 magnet design has “more power, more RPM, and smoother low speed resolution than any other 4-magnet motor on the market”. So far, from my research I have decided on the Creep, but I wanted to check here first. The Bully will be used on terrain that requires very slow technical crawling. There is no place where I have to “get a run” at any obstacle, so my desire is for a rig with good response from zero to approx. 20% - 30% throttle. Am I correct that the Creep motor would be a better choice for my type of crawler? Thank you in advance. |

The creep is going to be a bit smoother on the bottom. The apocalypse is a solid motor too but it will spin up quicker. I have an apocalypse in one of my sportsman rigs and I like it.

If smooth start up is what you are after, a creep is the ticket. Do keep in mind the arm choice plays a role in this as well....a skewed (type ST or SR) armature is the best combo with the creep for very smooth startup. Later EddieO |

Thanks everyone who took the time to reply. It looks like I will be purchasing 2 Creep motors next month as this sound exactly like what I am looking for. |
