Default Mamba monster x extreme 1:8 scale esc

My Wraith currently on Titan 550 21t brushed motor, Is the Mamba Monster X Extreme ESC support my Titan motor? I will stay on this motor a month or two ( Then I will upgrade my motor to HH Puller Pro BL 540 Brushless 3500kv ) Thank you

That was supposed to be the Castle manual, didn't like it. If you go to Castles website and look under specs for the X, you can download the manual.

All Castle car ESC's have a brushed mode. The monster X is oversized for a Wraith. The 1/10th scale Mamba X would be more appropriately sized for that car and motor.

The ESC will need to be programmed to be running in brushed mode. This can be done with Transmitter Programming as described in the manual, using a Field Link Programming Card(which doubles as a Castle Link), or more easily done via the Castle Link USB interface.

Thank you Robert for replies. I like the Monster X was because My Wraith can easily weight over 10lbs ( 4kg ) Currently weight with battery 5000mAh around 3.8kg. I just worries the Mamba X could not handle my wraith's weight as I know the Mamba x is limited in 10lbs only.

Now, I am just waiting Amain Hobbies to get back in stock again for the AR60 Knuckle weights and the Beef Patties will put in my rear wheels. yes, I like heavy rig

The 10 pound limit is if you're bashing hard with it; we've tested the Mamba X on a 1/8th scale buggy weighing 9lbs and geared for 45MPH and it ran great.

If you're geared for lower speeds with a lower turn count/kv motor then the Mamba X can take it no problem. But if you can manage to squeeze in the Monster X, it's better to have too much ESC than not enough!

Great choices!

Remember to send off for your free Castle Link when you get the Mamba Monster X ESC so you can do the programming.

I have bought myself the same setup as you, Holmes 3500kv PP motor and all - and am looking forward to updating the software to the newest version.

I also just received my Castle Quick Connect Duo connection cable so I can connect the Castle Link without having to disconnect the throttle cable from my receiver.

Will be using it in an RR10 Bomber with a lot of metal upgrades...

Nope. I have just gotten my Tamiya paints for the aluminum panels, still waiting on the Tamiya flat clear (bought for Lexan initially by accident) and a Axial radiator parts tree - should be here this next week. I also was just diagnosed with a pinched nerve and muscle/bone degradation in my neck and right shoulder, arthritis in there and my hands too. I now type double/triple letters whenever I use my right hand on a character - drives me nuts having to edit my posts constantly!

My main issue is that i am the world's greatest procrastinator...

My Bomber build thread title was a huge mistake!

On the plus side, when I do finally finish - I should have enough stock parts (and even some aftermarket that I decided to change later, including a HH PP 2200kv) left to easily build a second one - will likely make it with a Vaterra K10 truggy cab and cage riding on the following chassis:

https://www.amainhobbies.com/xtreme-...1863bg/p511068

I will need to pick up another Castle ESC, that'll be the only pricey item - may try the new Mamba X. Hoping ProModeler is making more of their servos soon as well.

I certainly love to mentally build things!

I do get depressed looking at the parts strewn across my coffee table every day.......
