I dont blame you if you got the RTR version. It comes with that "snail like" 55t...
I understand its not made to go fast and you need a torqey motor for this big heavy "Beast". But I personally think a 35t would suit it pretty nice. Jmho of course.

Yes as a matter of fact.. Tekins claim is this for their brushless crawler motor..

This is the Tekin ROC 412, 3100kV 4-Pole Sensored Brushless Rock Crawler Motor. Tekin's latest contribution to the popular Redline series of brushless motors is the ROC 412 crawler motor. The ROC 412 provides enthusiasts with the next generation in crawling performance. The 412 gives 3S LiPo / 35T brushed crawler speeds with 2S LiPo / 55T brushed precision and feel. Using a 4-pole, 12-slot motor design, the ROC 412 harnesses the benefits of brushless torque and efficiency to keep you on the trail longer with more power

just had a little read on this roc would it not be better to look at a 1200 or a 1800 for a 6x6 it is more about going slow and going over the trail and not braking it in to three lol But I know nothing about brushless it was just coming out when I was last in to this hobby.

I have this on the why
Tekin-combo-Rx8-gen-2-ROC-412-Brushless-Crawler-3100kV but was thinking about the 1800 as the 6x6 does not need much speed to run the trail but not sure about the 2.5Y thing as I knoe noyhing about the brushless thing

Found on a offshore (boating) RC forum:

"The numbers 2, 3, 4 etc are the number of turns on the motor stator. You really don't need to know this, the motor size, number of poles and Kv (rpm/volt) are more important. As for the Wye (Y) and Delta (D) winding configurations; while these do have different power characteristics, the most important part is the timing advance they require. A D wind runs 0-4* advance, the Y from 5-15*."

If your talking about actual size it should fit right on there.. what you might be looking for is the can (housing) size.. 540 or 550.

A 550 probably won't fit in the beast.

I would pick up one of the castle 1900kv motors when they come out. I've smoked 3 55t motors in mine running 3s. With the smallest pinion its below walking speed in low and a running pace in high..

Any updates to how your electronics are working? I just ordered a kit and I'm also looking for recommendations. I got a great deal on the kit so I don't mind spending a bit more on the electronics. RC4WD emailed me back and said they haven't tested a brushless system yet but they recommend anywhere from 35t to 65t. Looking for a bit more specific than that!
