I have 2 pieces of this 37T motor.

Also the other model that I guess it's the same as Integy 55T 12Volt motor.

As you can see the 37T is modified motor and the other is for driving motor lathes that take 12 Volt. Both have 0 degree timing setting, fixed for the 12 Volt one and adjustable for the 37T.

I'll put them on my Motor Tester and will post the results later.

The Web Site of these motors is http://www.miwahobby.co.jp
...but can't find any info of the 12 volt one ..

Thanks Rockdragon. I look forward to your results. Where did you get yours, direct from the distributor? Are they available in quanity? How much did you pay?

Sorry for a bit of delay!

My office's server was down and I just brought it back up working OK now. Boy!!! it was a nightmare.

OK!!! Here it is... I will take alll new 4 motors I've had them in my box to put on test with my motor tester... MOTOR MASTER ... form MUCH-MORE.

Yep! 4 motors ... Team Atlas 37T ... Team Atlas 12V Lathe motor ... the Magnetic Mayhem .... and ... the stock 540 that came with my TLT-1.

Now I have to do the testing and I'll be back with the results shortly.
Oh! yes... I got the the Team Atlas motors form LHS in HONG KONG ... sorry not in the state .. the 37T costs me HK$190 and the 12Volt one is HK$160.
The HongKong distributor for Tean Atlas is the JET HOBBY ... http://www.jethobby.com/
But if you're looking for quantity .. better to contact direct to Japan .... http://www.miwahobby.co.jp

Note .. you can see the package label as the 37T (MH7-337) is JPYen2800 and the 12 Volt (AT7-124) is JPYen2400.

Here we go ....

Team Atlas 37T

@7.2V (6 cells) : RPM = 12180
Current (max) = 1.72 Amp
Current (average) = 1.32 Amp

@4.8V (4 cells) : RPM = 8100
Current (max) = 1.67 Amp
Current (average) = 1.29 Amp

Team Atlas 12 Volt Comutator Motor

@7.2V (6 cells) : RPM = 7830
Current (max) = 0.71 Amp
Current (average) = 0.52 Amp

@4.8V (4 cells) : RPM = 8100
Current (max) = 1.67 Amp
Current (average) = 1.29 Amp

Magnatic Mayhem

@7.2V (6 cells) : RPM = 19950
Current (max) = 4.37 Amp
Current (average) = 3.64 Amp

@4.8V (4 cells) : RPM = 13260
Current (max) = 3.97 Amp
Current (average) = 3.15 Amp

Stock 540 Motor

@7.2V (6 cells) : RPM = 16800
Current (max) = 1.89 Amp
Current (average) = 1.06 Amp

@4.8V (4 cells) : RPM = 11190
Current (max) = 1.67 Amp
Current (average) = 1.10 Amp

I'm not sure that this Team Atlas 12Volt Comutator motor is the same as the Integy 55T Lathe motor as I haven't had one in hand. Also just a few LHS in HK have them in stock (only couple pieces at a time). The best is e-mail the JET HOBBY ... http://www.jethobby.com/
And ... right! this motor is not on the web sites. I found it as I was looking for the Integy 55T Lathe motor.

BTW I hope that I had a DYNO as I could find out the torque power.

the rpms you listed for the comm motor on 4.8V doesn't mesh with the picture of it on 4.8...

You're right Jason.... thanks ... I was a bit careless on that one. It's just the ... copy and paste things..

The picture is correct for all of them.

I still don't have a chance to run the comm motor on 12 volts as my motor tester has only 8 volt max voltage output. Hmmmmm... I have to find the way to do it!!!

Good information!

So do you have access to a dyno to test torque? That would be cool!

Find a multimeter and a 12V power source? Use the meter to measure current, the dyno to measure rpm?

Not sure if it'd work or not.

Could use a slot car controller to bring the motor up to speed.

Finally I put the comm motor to 12 volts power supply and got the RPM on my motor master. The result is here.

@12volts ....... RPM = 12690
Current (average) = 0.57 Amp

Atlas is quite popular in Japan. (I get my batteries from them, Sanyo GP3600 V-max, US$35 for 6 cells.) A lot of guys here use their motors and I've never heard anything bad about them.

Default 37t

Has anyone been able to find the 55T motor from this Co. in the states? Based on these numbers would the 37T be a good crawling motor? I tried to e-mail both the distributor and rc mushroom but have had no responce.

Try out this site, and again .. not in the states ... but in Hong Kong.

http://shopping.rcmodel.com.hk/

For crawling with the 37T ... you may need the GD600 to get the wheel speed down. The point is the 37T has approximately 30% higher RPM and uses more than double the Amp power current of the comm motor. You will surely get a lot less runtime out of your battery pack.

But the 37T will be better than the 540 stock motor and the Mayhem.

I just ordered some to compare my custom motors too. Thanks again RockDragon for all the info ;)

Sorry to bump this really old thread...

Was going through all my old RC stuff in the attic and found an old motor lathe. In the box was an Atlas 37t motor.
I searched all over the internet for info on it, but being so old this page here is about the best info i could find.

It was still in the packet brand new. I've popped it into my SCX10 and for such an old motor it still performs very nicely and worlds apart from an Axial 27t sealed motor.
Almost seems a shame to use it with how old it is!
