Default electrical problem

ok...for some reason when my steering is in any kind of bind the speed control cuts power to the motor and then the servos start twitching like crazy...if I release the steering and pick the rig up and sit it back down after letting all the wheels return straight then it works fine again until I turn too sharp. I even replaced the reciever, speed control and transmitter and it still does it! I am running 2 high torque servos off a y harness could it possibly be drawing too much power from the speed control making it shut down? any help is appreciated.

yeah use a RX pack.... you would probably get more answers if this was in the right section though

4 alkaline AA's will get you 6 volts. 5 AA rechargeables will get you 6v.

I am using a cobbled together 4 cell plus a single cell NIMH battery pack made from 5 NIMH AA' rechargeable batteries.

well I tried a standard 4 AA pack and it fixed my problem! that's great...but I didn't really want the added weight of the pack and the hassle of another pack to charge so just to see if it worked I ran a separate harness off the main battery's plug and plugged it into the reciever and walla...it still works with no problems and it all runs off the one battery pack. ( less hassle)

Just be careful. 7.2V to the servos could fry them. Or at the very least, reduce their overall life.

Do a search for "regulator" in the electronics section if you want to use just one pack.
