| Front and rear winch from one channel??
Can i use a toggle switch to control power to a Front OR rear winch using only the third channel and one winch controller? Throw the toggle on the truck from either off or front or rear winch selection?? Wouldn’t it prevent winch creep in the off position or accidentally bumping third channel and winch going in or out? You can use that switch to select the running winch. The running winch will have braking if it is a feature of the winch controller, but the non running winch won't have braking. The switch has three terminals. Run one wire from the winch controller to the center terminal. Then one wire from the front winch goes to the top terminal and one wire from the rear winch goes to the bottom terminal. Tie the two remaining winch wires together and to the remaining winch controller wire and you are finished. |

It's not common because a proper TX & winch controller will have the same effect. The controller acts as your switch and the right TX will never send a signal that causes it to creep. For your idea, you'd need one channel for the winch controls and a 2nd for switch control. I'd also recommend a controller that controls a relay (must be SPDT). A switch like pictured would need to be operated by a convoluted servo mechanism...or by hand. |

There's also the HeyOk toggle switch if you wanted to make it easy. Servo Toggle Switch I believe at one point there was a wired dual winch controller, but only see the wireless now. Sent from my LG-M322 using Tapatalk |

Almost related to what this thread is about, so I thought I would include it. This is a manual winch control with brake using two toggle switches: |
