Question 15-20lb rig with 560 motor, downsize to a 550?

I'm wondering if I could get some feedback on this question, can a 550 sized motor replace a 560? The rig is the Cross RC BC8 8x8, not sure on final weight but I'm guessing anywhere from 15-20 lbs so it can use all the power it can get.

I just got the kit today and checked the motor length against a Holmes trailmaster sport 550 sealed can and its only 8mm shorter than the 560, not as big of a difference as I had assumed.

I'm guessing a sealed can 560 will do better vs a sealed can 550, but I plan to use a high quality rebuildable Holmes Hobbies 550 motor and I would assume the the better magnets and balance and all of the little touches put into the HH motors will mean it could just out perform the sealed 560. Does anyone have nay thoughts on the subject?

Oh and I'm comparing a sealed 560 to a nice 550 because as far as I can tell from my searches there are no 560 sized rebuildable crawler motors available, but there are 550's.

Just saw this in the "Have Tech Questions? Will Answer" thread that JH started. The below is a quote from JH himself.

"Used to have them, overkill for 99.99% of everything. The 540 already has a massive amount of active motor, it substitutes a normal 550 with no prob."

So, all things being equal, I think the same logic would apply for your situation. So, a good 550 should see the same benefit over a sealed can 560 I would think.

Get a faster 550 and gear down.
