CHECK the DIMENSIONS!

66 x 32 x 62mm vs standard crawler servos @ 41 x 20 x 40mm...

Radio Control Applications:

Parkflyer N / A
Sport Plane N / A
Sailplane N / A
3D Performance N / A
Scale > 40%
Electric Helicopter N / A
Gas Helicopter N / A
On Road 1/4th & 1/5th
Monster Truck 1/4th & 1/5th
Buggies 1/4th & 1/5th
Truggies 1/4th & 1/5th
Short Course / Truck 1/4th & 1/5th
Crawlers N / A
Sail Boat = >1M & Scale
Power Boat 1/5th & Up Scale

Also: Featuring Hitec’s 15 tooth HD output spline

It's a 1/4th or 1/5th scale servo...

Way too big, and servo horns for crawlers use 23t/24t/25t output splines...

It’s a large scale servo meant for 1/5 scale cars, way bigger than a standard servo.

YIPES!

Oh well - it'll be good for some robotics projects later down the road (ha)

I mistakenly bought 3 servo arms that will fit that servo if you want them.

Gawd-a-mitey this servo is gigantic

Now I'm thinkin . . . maybe I should build a custom huge scale comp crawler?

Did I mention this servo is huge?

It's bigger than big - wow

shouldnt be too hard to make it work for a crawler. scrap piece of AL and generic servo mounts.

scap AL = couple bucks.
random servo mounts = 5-10 bucks.

steering power that NEVER ends = priceless!!!

(you could even get some angled AL stock at H-DEPO, for additional strength)

Except it's only a 400 oz servo that is much bigger and heavier (not to mention that 9A current draw at stall), Promodeler and Savox make standard size servos that put out near 700 oz.

no doubt, but if your already in a pickle, then just make the most of it?

we have all bought or gotten that oddball part by mistake, run-with-it and try, instead of just considering it a loss. (just my take)

400oz might end up working, and if so then its a cheap win.

If 9amps is a worry, then just put a few caps between the servo and the BEC, or make a booster pack out of caps? 9A is high, but even the servo wires cant handle that for extended times, so most of the time CAPS will work. (plus- caps are cheap and simple to use)

C'mon, this is truly trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear...

It's 150% bigger in every dimension!

Sometimes you've got to know when to fold 'em...

It's

just

not

gonna

happen

If I don't keep it for a robotics projct, then I think I may know of a large-scale flyer who might be able to use it

$90 shipped anyone?

Too often my wife will say "Why don't you let people wonder if you're really stupid instead of proving it?"

Can't really argue this time, eh?
