For what application? There's some tiny stuff out there that can push a couple amps into a brushed motor, but that's not going to work in a 1/10 scale brushless rig.

For adventure purpose. Which one 'tiny stuff' did you refer to?
Motor that I'm using 35T - 45T.

Holmes BR mini or Tekin FXR.

The Holmes ESC is thinner and lighter but the Tekin has the smaller footprint.

Yup, br-mini is tiny and the fxr is small but can be de-cased and the soldering posts removed making it even smaller.

Trekin FXR is tiny. Actually no bigger than a Spektrum receiver. Those 2 plus a V1 CC BEC fit in an Ascender fuel cell. Never seen a Holmes so can't comment on that.

Look into MINI-z's if you want small but powerful. (stack FET's can get powerful 10-40 amps)

they have a few that fit on thumbnails (for 1/43?) but only at 1 or 2 amps. (kyosho Dnano-RIP)

keyeence ??? if thats how its spelled ? makes esc for 1/64.

Tekin FXR and it's a damn good ESC. I haven't used the Holmes BR Mini.

Tekin has a unique and uncanny ability to put a great ESC in a tiny package without having heating issues.

The original castle micro sidewinder is hard to beat.
It works on both brushed and brushless.
Lots of options via castle link, work on 3S and even 4S lipo.
Very thin with a small footprint.

If you just need a basic non adjustable ESC the XYS-BL20A has been tried and true for me over many years of Micro crawler use.
You can find them for less than $10 shipped these days.

Thanks for all replies..

I have run CC Mamba Max Pro some years ago and really pleased with it. Low throttle run really smooth. I can barely touch the throttle and it will start to creep.
I'm looking smaller footprint just because there is tight space in my 1/10 scale adventure truck.

Found Tekin FXR Pro at my LHS but not yet purchase it.

Maybe I'm just unlucky but the only 2 ESCs I had go up in smoke on the trail were Castle micro ESCs (a original Mamba 25 and Mamba Micro Pro).

Maybe.
It could be anything from a fluke to an issue with your setup. I've had every version of the castle Micro surface ESC from the Mamba 25 to the current versions. I still have all of mine and they all still work fine, though they are all in minis or micros other than 2 pro's that are smashed together in an MOA Berg

Just remembered as I laid down in bed so I got up to snap a pic.

Br-mini, br-mini with thick heat shrink from Holmes, fxr and a de-cased fxr with solder posts removed. They're all pretty small but the br-mini takes the cake for being capable of 6s and for much better brakes.
