Tekin 55t HD mounting hole question

Hello Guys,
I know that maybe this question sounds noob but I never dealed with a Tekin motor before...
Can somebody tell me that why are 2x2 mounting holes on the Tekin brushed HD motor and which hole to use on the Tamiya CC01?

The extra holes found on motors are for individual mounting preferences to the motor mount , for example find the basic desired orientation of motor so wires are directly above or to the left or right then there should be a fixing hole reasonably close to that at top dead centre of motor mount , fix that screw finger tight so it can still be moved then line up the bottom hole according to the tooth count of the desired pinion

Basically what willyg said but I would just like to add be sure you use the holes that are directly across from one another. I'm sure more than a few of us have installed a motor using the wrong mounting hole on 1 side and wondered why the gear mesh wasn't working.

Good point svt923 , very important !!!needs to be directly opposite the top screw for perfect gear mesh !!!

Thank you guys, it worked well. The mounting holes are pre-set on the CC01 motor plate so there was no need to set gear mesh. Thats why it was impossible to miss the holes thanks god...
