Default TRX4 Castle 1512 1800kv

I'm new to the hobby and crawling.

Currently my setup is the following

Defender wheelbase
Mamba X
Slate 1406 1900kv
Slate 1406 3800kv

First motor change was the slate 1406 3800kv and it was great no complains except it was too much wheel speed, got bored and changed to 1406 1900kv

The 1406 1900kv is perfect and great... but its time to change things up a bit I'm bored again

I just picked up a castle 1512 1800kv and going to install it on the rig tonight, I have searched around and was not able to find anyone running a 1512...

Does anyone have any input on the castle 1512 sensored on the TRX4?

Regards

They are better quality than the slate. That's all I know.

Post install update.... wowwwwwww....
I could not be any happier..... it big its loud and has torque for days.... I ran in 2s, 4s and 6s I noticed that on 6s the low speed engagement is nice and easy to engage I'm running 11t/45t going down to 9t but it will require me to trimm the 5mm motor shaft,, not ready to do that yet.... but I'm sure I'll get bored and chop it sometime... but for now is time to enjoy the upgrades... also upgrade the Servo to Protek 370tbl I was running savox SA-1230 great servo but is not water proof... due to the new servo upgrade I had to add another circuit to the setup to support 7.4v where before I had 6v servo and light setup.

Here is the current specs:
Defender trx4
proline body
proline cage
traxxas trx4 lift kit
mamba x
protek 370TBL seeting servo
castle 1512 1800kv ... previous motor setups castle 3800kv slate and 1800kv slate
aluminum motor mount
all metal transmission
11t 5mm/45t
metal driveshafts
3 circuits, circuit 1: esc (with large capacitors) powers receiver, portals and transmission servos at 6v, circuit 2: castle bec 2.0 powers light setup at 6v, circuit 3: castle bec 2.0 powers steering servo at 7.4v and this circuit has large capacitor
custom light setup
6s setup Protek 3600 3s 100c x2
4s setup Gens Ace 2200 2s 50c x2
proline Swampers 1.9 predator compound

With that much power I would try for a bigger spur before a smaller pinion. Edit: Oh its a trx4. Guess you can't.

I think I could accomplish the same by going with smaller 9t pinion vs 11t... or am I missing something? I'm new to the hobby dont know much....
edit: Does it really need more low end?

It only needs lower gears if the motor or esc is getting hot.
