| Front steering servo intermittantly slow to respond.
Hi guys, I've got my Bulu scale crawler just about done. It made it through the first full session with no problems at all. I'm running 8 GP3300 cells split into 4 cell packs on either side of the chassis. I charged the packs up again and about half way through something wierd started to happen. I'm running Bluebird 630MG's both front and rear. The rear servo is set up to mix at 50% or the front through my XS3. Speed control is a Super Rooster. The front servo suddenly and intermittantly became unresponsive. It wouldn't return to center after a turn. The rear servo acted flawlessly. After cycling left and right a couple times the front started working fine again. I know some have had bad luck with bluebirds but around here a bunch of us run them in everything from Savages to 1/8 buggys with no issues yet. I swapped the servos around and I'll try it again to see if acts up again. The SR should be providing enough voltage and amperage to drive these servo shouldn't it? I know they are a decently torquey servo, 195oz @ 6v. I can't find any details on power consumption of them though. It just struck me as a little odd that only channel 1 was acting up. I may have jumped the gun and posted this before I finished trouble shooting, but wanted to see if any of you guys had seen anything similar. Dan. |
