The word is that they are working to get the V3 into production. I'm hoping they get some out soon as well.

I'm really hoping some news will be forthcoming, I'm inches from buying a Promodeler at this point but I like the versatility and wiring of the SHV.

If you really like the HH shv There is the 3 Brothers G13. Honestly I can't tell them apart.

I've thought about the G13 as well since it's in stock but I need to read a bit more about them. Most of what I've read about the G13 has been in threads about the SHV and Promodeler and the mega "budget" thread so I don't have a good sense about how durable they are. Not that I'd expect to kill gears with servos of this level crawling... but I ain't gentle and currently 3Bros is OOS for replacement gearsets. Do you know if the case has bronze bushings for the shafts like the HH?

Any of these will be a huge upgrade from the "20kg" unit I'm using now.

Because it's a Holmes v1 clone. It has the same issues/weaknesses as the Holmes v1 as well.

I'm also an SHV500 fanatic. However, due to no stock I bought this:

I am looking for a couple of new Holmes Hobby servos also. I guess I'll have to wait for the new version.

Holmes showed a prototype V3 briefly in his new video. Skip to 8:38 to see it.

Jato is being kind. The 3 Brothers G13 is a counterfeit knock off of the HH V1. They stole the HH design becasue they were unable to create an original design of their own.

I have assumed this but homes has not confirmed this like he has for the JK servos. It is not a direct 1:1 clone the gears are slightly different.

Also I haven't broken my g13, but it's not had the abuse my HH shv500v1 has had

After watching some of the video might be worth waiting for the V3. But if he hasn't mentioned an eta it could still be months away.

For all we know that servo is one from the bad batch or a prototype.
